What is a practilonga?

A practilonga is a PRACTICA (practice) in a MILONGA (social dance) format. Practilongas help dancers transition from practicas to milongas.

The milonga is like a secret club with subtle rules (codigos). One rule is: No teaching at the milonga. That makes it tough for dancers to learn what happens at milongas and why. So, a practilonga is the place to learn about milongas and ask questions.

Why should you attend?

Dancers of all levels are encouraged to attend. Primarily this is a chance to dance and practice. Practicing outside lesson time in extremely important. In addition,
  • Beginner tango dancers learn about the social and cultural aspects of tango.
  • Experienced dancers can practice, socialize, and help/mentor those who want feedback.
Upscale suburban dance hall. Sprung hardwood floor, surround sound, mirrors, air-conditioning and beautiful ambiance.
Mate tea & water available.  Everyone welcome.
