Aside from running the risk of attracting wild moose 🤣, our personal hygiene can have a pleasant or unpleasant effect on the partners we embrace with.

Good personal hygiene is easy. Even so, pay extra attention to it.

Before dancing:
  • Take a shower.
  • Brush teeth.
  • Use deodorant.
  • Use only light fragrances.
  • Avoid strong smelling foods like garlic and cabbage.
  • Wear clean, freshly washed clothing.
During dancing:
  • Always wash your hands after using the washroom.
  • Skip dancing if you’re contagious with a cold or flu.
  • Maintain fresh breath (mints, mouthwash).
  • Bring an extra shirt if you sweat a lot.
  • Bring a hanky to wipe sweat or to contain a sneeze.
  • Take a break to cool off.
  • Men wear shirts that cover the armpits. I.e. no tank tops. Also, men don’t dance in shorts.
  • Women wearing sleeveless tops, use deodorants that don’t leave a mark on the partner’s clothing.
